Lovely studio located on the hills of Montmartre’s village, five-minute walk from the artists' square: the Place du Tertre, and the Sacré Coeur. Montmartre is the last village in the big city of Paris. It still keeps a very subtle and unique atmosphere in spite of the affluence of tourists from all over the world.

Walking at random across Montmartre hill, you will discover gardens, old houses, steep streets and staircases (right) with magnificent views on Paris. Montmartre is a picturesque and authentic village made famous by so many artists, including Van Gogh, Picasso and Toulouse Lautrec. The area offers a wonderful choice of excellent restaurants. There is also a large and varied selection of food shops and open markets nearby especiallly the market of the rue Lepic with it delicious pastry shop "Les Petits Mitrons". Not to forget the famous grocery from the movie "Amélie Poulain" which is located a few steps from the studio.

The nearest metro stations are Abbesses. The metro line 12 runs through here and it is a very convenient line for getting anywhere in Paris. It's a straight run to Concorde or over to the Left Bank.

The studio used to be the atelier of famous Montmartre painter José Galvan. Flooded with light, and located on the first floor opposite a garden at the other side of 'rue Gabrielle', it is a romantic hideaway for your Paris stay. The cosy alcove bed from which you can watch TV (over 200 international channels) or dvd, read the many books and guides at your disposal or listen to Edith Piaf or George Brassens allows for what the French call a 'grasse matinée' (literally 'fat morning', i.e. staying in bed till noon).

The walls feature artworks of contemporary French artist Vincent Magni.

The colour harmony of the space is in warm earthen shades with a bright orange bathroom for a tonic wake-up.
